Stuck Seat Tube

Quick question. Ive changed the solution to a stronger one to work faster.
Will heat also work as a catalyst in this process or not, I know it does in some cases but not others.

Any other ideas how I can make it go faster because ive missed a few good days of riding now

Go down the splitting and removing it that way route - trust me, it's the best way to do it. Buy a padsaw handle, a few decent 18 tpi hacksaw blades and go for it . Fit the blade in the padsaw so it cuts on the return stroke - much less chance of bending/breaking the blade that way.
Beats all this faffing with sh**ty chemicals which probably won't work anyway.
Lube the blade with a bit of paraffin to stop aluminium building up beween the teeth .

Ok, so if I go down that route.

What do I do if the blade isnt long enough to reach the botton of the post?
And even when Its cut, if it has bonded to the steel, how do I shift it then?

The Chemical route is working, not exactly fast but I have proof it is working and so I may just continue with that method....

Hey guys,

It has finished. The tube is now all gone and the frame has been cleaned all nicely inside and out.

Thanks for the advice, worked a dream, the tube pipe is now really clean and smooth too, meaning the new tube goes in perfect.
