Stolen: Purple Claud Butler in Hull

I build up a lovely metallic purple Claud Butler for my friend and he's been happily riding it for a few years, but someone broke into his garden and stole it last night. If people could keep their eyes peeled it would be greatly appreciated, as there aren't many of them around.

It's a Reynolds 653 Magnum frame and if I remember correctly it's a 1994 Spectre, but I could be wrong about that. This certainly looks pretty similar, if not the same:

though it was around an 18".

It was built up with Shimano STX-SE with a shorter modern stem to replace the Tioga one it came with.

Thank you everyone. It's not about the value of the bike - I think with selling some of the parts on it I managed to build it for £85 (free labour) - it's just that my friend Lee really loves that Butler.
