My mates Roberts was stolen just over a month ago from the Victoria station area of London. Who knows were now?? At the time of theft it had grey tyres and a new specialized saddle.

i hate seeing these threads. depresses me. mate has just lost his 4th bike in london.

in all honesty though, and this is not a criticism, i can't understand why anyone rides an expensive bike (even an older one) around in high theft areas. i wouldn't risk it myself. happened once, never again.

i know you shouldn't let the fear of theft stop you riding your favourite bike but i'd rather ride the beater bike to avoid losing the nice one. not talking about a heap bike, just something alot less desirable to the average bike theif, and therefore not as soul destroying if it does get nicked.

i hope it turns up.

damn thats bad realy realy nice bike..... loving the onzas too.....


i have my 'nice bikes' some of which only get ridden in the dry... i have a summer hack (blue vintage snakebellies dont work well in winter) and a winter hack.... which is a beat up old raleigh tourer with some fairly nice bits on that have all been de-stickered or painted to look poop... goes realy nice too.... that still gets three locks round it anywhere it gets parked.... southampton is a real bike theft hotspot as of late :cry:
