Actually this site is a great help in this respect because we are all taking
lots of pix of our bikes and comparing serial numberse etc.

Imagine a Retrobiker at the policestation,
PC Plod "Do you have any photos of the missing bike sir ?"
Retrobiker "Er one or two, now this album was when it was built
as a fixie......"

Not sure what the weight weenies would say about that, how many
grams is a bit or paper and a plastic bag. Now if you use Airmail
paper it's much lighter, though it costs a bit more.
