How's the stem going to be held in without a wedge?
Most ahead extender work, as the long bolt that holds the wedge, has a drilled and tapped hex bolt head....that thread gives you a place to tighten down the top cap like a star nut.
Without the wedge, your relying on an interruption fit to basically hold your handlebars and stem on......forces are considerable on bars......i foresee a horrible horrible situation.
