They were made by a company called Long and Marshal or L&M as stamped on most of their stuff. The quality was good no better or worse than other machined cranks from the mid to late 90s. Anything under $80 I'd say is a good deal... especially if they're anodized the right color for whatever build your doing at the moment.
Yup, there were at least 2 different types Cross Country and Downhilll and there have been some threads on here before about them. The XC ones had some great CNCing on the back of the arms where the DH version was just solid. I think they did come with chainrings but I'm not 100%.
