Sram rear mechs. Not retro at all, but totally gorgeous.

have you ever actually used X0 mechs before?

I found mine to work flawlessly

they work fine for actual shifting. if you live & ride in rocky areas the carbon mech arms snap off. this isnt purely a dig at sram, the M970 xtr carbon mech arms snap off too.

so youve snapped some then?
I guess at least they can be replaced easily if they did snap, i'd rather have straight and true arms than mildy twisted and bent ones...

I havent snapped any. I've seen enough friends & other people whilst out riding break them to put me off. I'm not certain about "easily" replaced, I cant believe they'd be cheap. but hey I'm only trying to help. if you're happy with your mech then thats cool for you.

I spotted some replacement carbon arms for circa £15 on the bay, To be honest if I was living in the highlands and had a habit of breaking stuff then yes, I think youre right. But im fairly easy on my gear...besides...dont you think they just look uber pimp?!

Sing along!

I've snapped an M950 derailleur arm on a ride. I suspect most high-end long cage derailleurs are pretty vulnerable to that in the right conditions.
