Oooh! Rodel Wave spokes. BITD I had those built up radially on a nice purple hope front hub. Actually on several hubs as I kept cracking the flanges and replacing. Mavic 231 rim and the ironically named 2.3 Klein Death Grip if I remember correctly.

I'm reasonably confident I bought mine from Heffs via an advert in the back of MBI, and had to wait a while for them. £1.40 each sticks in my head, a lot of money mid-90s. I then acquired a pair of the first deep-section Fir Polar rims, cut the Rodel spokes down to fit then gave up building with them as it was a nightmare with the internal nipples. Ended up with straight spokes, but a full set of Rodel spokes that were too short to reuse on anything.

I have googled since then to try and source more, but without success I'm afraid.

They were right up there with Isolator elastomer cored hubs:

They were supposed to add flex in one plane but were a pain to build with and tension
