Spoke Beads - Best left alone or could be cool?

My mate got me some spoke beads for Christmas, I suspect they were a bit of a joke present but it seems a waste not to use them. I'm not talking about having the whole packet rattling about my wheels, but just a few colour coordinated to the bike on the back. So the question is: yay or nay?

exactly, and the rider is under 4' 6"

got a set of spokey dokeys for my daughter a couple of years back, and very popular, she did say I could have a couple for mine but I've managed to resist the temptation somehow

a quick search for spokey on ebay shows lots available of varying qualities
