I remember when one of the guys in the bike shop I worked at bought one of those back in '95. We were in awe of it - I think it was some sort of metal matrix jobbie wasn't it?

Metal matrix does ring a bell....
A guy a couple of years above me in school had one of those, with MXCDs. Loved it! I got my P7 instead though, & I still don't have much use for another hardtail - been trying to think of a reason to have a bid! If only it was small enough for the girlfriend...

Yeah they are metal matrix. Looks to be about 97 i think. Nice handling frames. I had the 95 one which was great fun.

I think yours is the earlier Sworks Chris. The one on ebay has the front downtube stops mounted on the side of the headtube gusset. Also being a non sworks, its not as bling

Mine was used by the official team in france it as a titanium seat collar too but no decals on the top tube .

The Sworks normally don't. They aren't stumpjumpers, just Sworks. If anything they normally have specialized on top and down tubes from memory

yeah my m2 has specialized on the downtube, top tube and back of the seat stays - also head tube badge should be a big S with works written through it as with the sides of the seat tube
