Specialized Frame ID for decals

I have got what I think looks like a Specialized frame however there are no decals on. It is a black paint version. I am looking at getting some original decals hopefully to match the exact model it is and build it up from there. Still toying with whether or not to get a respray on it as some of the paintwork around the chainstays is in bad condition and now is the perfect time before the build of course.
Any ideas on how to identify which model/version it is? Ive tried the Specialized website but only seems to go back to 2004. Thanks for reading

What makes you think it's a Specialized?
Did the seller give you some info?
I've never seen a 26" Speci with that kind of downtube, no idea what it could be.
You might ask in the 98> section, I doubt this is <97

Yes I was told it was a Specialized, I have seen a few similar to this but the only one I've found in the anodised paint style is the M5 2003 which appears to have this style down tube, curving away from the head tube. Any thoughts? The bottom on frame has a Specialized number on also.

Have you got any pictures if your version so I can see which decals it has. The picture you have put up is helpful. A lot of the red and white versions and silver have a supporting bar coming out between the seat stay and the chain stay on the non drive side. Also do you know which v brake bosses fit the specialized frames as it will need some. Thanks

True about the support in the rear. The 2003 has no support though!
Sorry got no info on brakebosses....
