Devinci Chameleon Ford Promo Mountain Bike XTR, Mavic
Ive got this up on Ebay and Ive no real idea what its worth as its hard to find another! Im going off rarity and spec!.... Open to sensible offers if Im way out! or swaps what have ya got try me!?
Looking for £300 - can deliver for an extra £15
I have spoken direct to Devinci and they have informed me this is a 1998 bike produced as a 'Ford Team Issue'. I have not been able to find another in this country and can barely find an image on the web. It is almost unique.
Bike will be fully serviced before sale (and those XTR brakes setup properly - I know!!)
Spec is as follows
Carbon Fibre Handlebars
Shimano XTR rear Mech
Shimano XTR V brakes (brand new unused pads fitted)
XTR crankset ( bit of a mess as been painted but has Black Spire chainrings and left crank basic Shimano)
Michelin Wildgripper tyres
Black Spire chainrings
Hope skewers
XT 24 speed shifters
XT front mech
Rock Shox (repainted unfortunately) work perfect.
Mavic Rear, Sun front rim
XT rear hub
All in all a top spec bike all round that rides really well even by todays standards.
Emailed Devinci over its history, response below:
"this is a Devinci-Ford Team Edition Cameleon (I knew it!) from 1998-1999.
it definitely is a genuine Devinci Bicycle, made with love in Chicoutimi, QC Canada.
hope you’ll still get to enjoy many happy miles on it.

Something to talk about at least, if anyone has any knowledge of retro Devinci's!? Or should I even sell it?!?!
