{EDIT: this was rebuilt and has a new owner. I've left the advert as below for info/interest}
1997 Orange C-16R, 17” frame, forks and bits (just needs front wheel & cables to complete).
Lovely Moss Green, with 1” threadless forks & headset, stalk stem, hotrod bars, orange bar ends (not in picture)
Orange seatpost & Enduro saddle
Original Tektro V-brakes (but the frame also has a braze-on cable stop for cantis)
Rear wheel – Parallax hubs on Mavic 221 rim
Front Parallax hub (not built into wheel - I robbed the original rim for a hub dynamo wheel).
Original groupset was Shimano Altus – although photos show Sugino Impel cranks and STX-RC rear derailleur I have the Altus chainset and rear derailleur,
Shifters are 7 spd STX-RC (taken off my P7- I might be able to find the original 'rapidfire' pods if wanted).
Almost the same spec as pictured in the 1997 catalogue (except that one has threaded forks and quill stem – this is 1” threadless)
Lovely bike – very good condition – the original powder coat still looks good. The decals have a little damage from the car rack, but as they are on top they can be easily replaced if you want. It’s had an easy life (my wife didn’t initially take to MTBing so it was used a bit for a short commute and briefly by my daughter until she outgrew it).
The original Orange advertising suggested the 17” would fit 5’6” to 5’9” but my wife (just over 5’6”) prefers a larger frame and has kindly taken my 19” P7 instead. So probably a better fit for 'up to 5'6".
£150 or make me a reasonable offer, collection from South Manchester
