Vintage Kona Hei Hei Sandvik titanium frame for sale. 1997?, Very rare, only 4000 made over a 10 year period. Stickers have been removed due to quality but you can order replacements.

Measurements are all center to center...
16.1" from the BB to the top of the seat tube.
Top tube 20.6".
Down tube 24.5".
Seat stay 17.2".
Chain stay 16.8".
Head tube 3.7".

I would suggest thats older than 97 with a dog collar and downtube routing. Not thats really an issue unless your wanting a proper v-brake cable stop.

Not seen a 16" for sale in a while.

I would imagine previous owner asked for some replacment ones as the lack of lacquer does level them open to the elements

Not trying to trip you up, the vintage of the frame has little bearing on its value unless its a very rare minter like the very expensive one kicking around in the states at the momment. It may change the type of buyer, especially on here. Just trying to help as big ticket frames come with many questions and the last thing you will want is a debate with a buyer about the lack of a frame wielded brake cable stop or a hydraulic guide.

Publishing the serial number will tell you in seconds.

Maybe they were incorrect graphics. Yours has a dog collar so it would of been designed to run cantilevers such as an early frame (1993-1995) the 1997 was designed for v brakes

But hey I'm no kona expert so I may be wrong

As mentioned, with a dog collar and no additional cable stop on the top tube, it's pre 97. If you look at the residue left from the head-tube sticker, you'll see it matches more spiral Kona design, so that makes it 93 to 96. Of course the decals could have been replacements but if the frame hasn't been polished then it's fair to say it might have been original. Either way, a small Hei Hei is rare - but of course that means it's targeting a very small audience (no pun intended!)
