We hear your perspective, that you would have preferred different components. The bike is as it came from the Kona factory in 1996, and that's what we have chosen to preserve, as that is important to some buyers. The invoice for the original Kona kit that came from the factory was posted for the same reason, and we already noted that the original tires have aged. In short, where you have the desire to strip the bike and/or change parts, we made a different philosophical choice, which was to preserve the bike as it came from Kona. We have consciously never sought to change, restore or "improve upon" what is an all-original bike (and which includes its original documentation). If others want to do that, we understand.
