So what do Retro Bikers drive??

Nice! One of the demands for buying a car for me is: has to be able to put a bike rack on it, or preferred a bike inside.
My fist car was a Volvo 440 :) Tow-hook and bike fitted insede with the seatsdown. Only the gastank (not fuel tank, but gas) was in the way.
Next car was a 1989 Celica. Great car, bike fitted easily inside. Well almost everything I wanted to transport fitted inside.
and then there was 4 years silence and now I have the Volvo 480. And yesterday I checked and the bike goes in perfect. :)

Had Land Rovers for years....went looking for a 101 Forward Control and came back from an Army auction with an Series III Air Portable/Lightweight  Kept this as a daily driver for years - 16mpg, on 750 Mud Terrains and a roll cage :)
Then a Series III 88 petrol, 110 Turbo Diesel, 200 TDi 90 (stolen) and finally a 300TDi 90 CSW.

Now I live miles from work so have gotten into MK4 Astra's. Had four now, last one was a 64mpg 1.7DTi, now an LPG powered SXi with lots of Irmshcher kit on it

Meh, nothing any good. A mid 90's Ford Laser (local equivalent to the Focus/Escort). Not too bad I suppose, decent engine and good economy. Mazda 323 with different bodywork...

My mate makes me constantly jealous with something very much akin to this:

Seeing as it weighs about 990Kg and has a 12AT motor pumping out somewhere near 400bhp, it is no suprise that it goes like sh*t off a shovel...

wow very very nice, reminds me of the mad max interceptors.

I love the old aussie cars, Holdens and Falcons.

When I visited in 1990 I got a lift from Canberra to Batemans Bay? in a mid 70's Holden Torana - IRC straight 6 lowered, fantastic car.

tall frames and men...

How tall is the rider of these bikes?

Met an American in Dunedin this week with a 1976 US bought Miata in black, as new.. beautiful. He has a tall frame also but not that tall as yuors above.

Love the bay window camper, Westfalia?
My mate had one for a year. We took it to Glastonbury... Broke down 5 times. Awesome weekend

My car is not nearly as interesting, but far more reliable.
2008 Mazda 2 TS2
I sling a bike in the back with the seats down.

(wow, didn't see the age of the original posts on this, massive bumpage from the fella above)
