There is a point to his post...

I know that my builds are not strictly correct as they eschew the purple ano riot that used to blight my bikes. The same thing happens in classic car circles too, lots of silver Aston Martins, not too many primrose!

I have just looked at my RC200 and thought about purplising it...

...and cannot do it. Sorry, classy silver and greys all the way.

For true period correctness, you also need loads stickers from companies whose parts you don't actually have on your bike.
