Just picked up this ebay win. It's a 1992 bike in the smallest size they did and I'm pleased to report it's in great condition with either little use or very well maintained (or both). The chap I got it from raced for Orange + Kona, amongst others bitd and was pleased to hear it'll be restored to original spec.

I have all the bits to take it back to factory spec if I pinch a few off another bike and dip in to the spares box so it will be an easy resto. I bought it for my boy to cheer him up while he's in hospital so will save any work until he's fighting fit so we can do it together. He's a year or two off fitting it anyway so no rush. Love a 92 me!😄

That's a beauty
Cheers mate. Forks have been sold on and bike stripped ready for a clean and rebuild. Current plan is to use the vgc M560 LX group set with 231 rims I have on another 92 Clockwork. I’ll post a progress report soon.

Still planning on my lad having this but we’ve just got him a 24” Cube that has hydraulic discs and suss forks so he may be reluctant to go back when it finally fits him!

You may have a very difficult job persuading your lad onto this after he's experienced modern tech unfortunately. I bought a teeny tiny old Rockhopper frame like this for my missus and will need to get some photos up on here at some point. Look forward to seeing the end result from the Orange.
