Skinwall Tyre Options?

Heavy

Retro Guru
What are the options for a new skinwall mtb tyre at a reasonable price?

I have had a decent look around eBay & google but drawn a blank.

Any ideas please?

for new tyres the choice is slim to none,(that are worth using)
nos or used is your best bet, here or ebay they do crop up.

Charge Splashback's are skinwall.

I have 2 sets (see KHS & Marin links in my sig), they're superb in dry/damp conditions, lightweight (400g ish) and have a Porc like tread pattern & come in a 1.8" flavour, what's not to like?

Oh yeah, the price... if you can find em on Ebay you should get a pair for between £30 & £45 a pair + P&P, if not the RRP is ~£30 each!

Do 2.1 tyres fit ok in the '87 Courier?

I was also thinking about the Halo Twinrail at 2.2 as the bike will used for schhol runs and family bike rides.

White 2.1 skinwalls on ebay at the moment. NOS. Looks like Kevlar bead. £16.99 a pair.

They wont be, I have a set if i am sure you are talking about the same ones, quite heavy (900g each) but on the plus side, cheap to thrash around on, and have a smoke like tread
