The ups downs and roundabouts top get here was like something out of a romcom but its all done now. First outing yesterday and its everything I could have hoped for, fat bike jollies  but just carrying that little bit of extra speed and nimbleness. Climbing was great too, again very fat bike like but a bit faster, I could notice the extra mass when trying to motor along on road but a minor point only, off road it was ripping.

The fork from this initial assessment seems like a corker, you could visibly see it soaking up some trail chatter, I've got a 12mm qr skewer up front which I think is helping tie things up. Hard to tell though because everything is new. It has 11speed XT and its a lovely bit of kit, also fitted is a One Up traction ring, hard to tell any difference at the moment but nothing averse so far anyway. Cockpit and contact points may be up for a change, the bike is pegged for longer distance stuff and will be used for the Puffer in January, hopefully a new saddle will be next, maybe a Cambium or a Fabric. Cockpit wise the Fleegles and bar ends are a pretty old (mid?) school choice, I had the very same set up on my Kona Unit and got on great with it but I'm already finding I'm looking for a wee bit extra bar.

Apart from that I'm really chuffed, the local builder built the wheels with black spokes and black brass nipples and they look super stealth I'd also swapped the silver bottle boss bolts for black to appease my inner tart. So as I said its been a rocky road to get here but let the love affair commence, if the first ride is anything to go by there are going to be plenty more grins ;D

Nice one Kaiser, looking good

Yours a Medium frame, always good for a headstart in the looks departement. The stealthy black brings out the yellow beautifully. Love the yellow Maxxis script on the tires, and the dropper post is a good option too. Re your comment on the bottle boss bolts, I changed mine too

You compare the Rooster to a fat bike and notice the extra turn of speed.
I compared mine to a regular carbon 29er XC rig and felt the extra heft.
But we both agree on the big grins

Enjoy!!

Re:

Hi, is yours a medium frame? If so could you measure from ctr of bb housing to ctr of top tube please? I've just bought a medium one but it looks a bit small
