Single speed, I just don't get it?

They are just simple and fun...
Crack the mud off your SS, throw it in the boot, blast round the woods, pootle to the shops, crank up a hill, freewheel down....
It's about not going fast all the time. You get into a rhythm and your riding flows. You get fitter and develop your trail skill. You also don't have to fix your gears...
If it's just about fashion then it's so last season. I've been riding SS for 4 years just becuase it's good...
The best way to see if you like it is to whack your bike in 32:16 or 18 depending on your local area and see if you like it...

its single speed fixed gears with no brakes that get to me...mainly when they try cutting me in half because they cant stop, Manchester is full of them...lol..they seem to think they are very cool, i think they some thing else my self....i love my gears the more the better..

Try it.
Loads of reasons, mostly I love knowing my silent tough chain is staying put and all thinking is on the terrain, not gears or falling chains.
Fun and simple.
Not for everyone though. And I did use all 21 retro gears last weekend! probably not the right ones either

(excuse my french as they say) The Fixie scene **** me off royally! I just want to 2x4 the lot of them. It might just be the ones around here? but they're a pack of fuckwit losers (my 2c - and again sorry about my language. They well get me hot under the collar)
I'm not totally pro SS conversions as a lot of people seem to miss the point of Classic retro builds. SS seems a Half build if that makes sense
