As I’ve grown older and wiser I’ve come to understand that there are some things in life that people are passionate about and that I just won’t “get”.
Take Brussels sprouts for example, I know some people who rave about them and love them so much they grow massive patches on them. Me I’ve eaten them and while I don’t dislike them at all I fail to see what the excitement is and thus I’ve come to the conclusion that some things in life you just won’t “get” like others do.
Is it the end of the world? Do I need to shout out loud “Brussels Sprouts, I just don’t get them…”?? Do I lose sleep over the issue??? Well in short the answer in no, no and no.
The biggest mistake though one can make is saying they don’t get something without actually trying it.
I once didn’t get single speeding off road, but out of interest I built up a single speed out of old bits and pieces and went for a ride, and well… I got it and I now have a number of single speeds in the bike cave. So the moral of the story if there’s one is give everything a try, who knows you may just discover something you really enjoy
