Silverfish 1993 Crosstrac Sonoma

These wonā€™t be everyoneā€™s cup of tea.
I think if I hadnā€™t fitted the DD these would be a definite yes šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
They still might be, Iā€™m going to leave them on and see if they grow on me.
I was briefly sponsored by Spin back in 93/94 so I need at least 1 bike in my collection with Spins!

Brief because I couldnā€™t keep the wheels from bending - obviously too much power šŸ¤£ IMG_4801.jpeg IMG_4803.jpeg IMG_4802.jpeg

Just the brakes and QRā€™s to do now.
Maybe take another couple links out the chain. Then get it out for a spin!
Pretty happy with how this has come together.
Iā€™m coming round to the fact that a bonkers bike needs bonkers wheels.
Yes it would look cleaner with regular spoked wheels but I wanted something different this time.
I think this delivers that šŸ¤£ IMG_4816.jpeg IMG_4817.jpeg IMG_4818.jpeg

this is one of my favourite builds in a long time šŸ„°

I know most RB folks arenā€™t into full bounce or fancy Spin wheels but how can you not love how this is coming together? šŸ¤£

I bloody love it šŸ˜»

Onza HO (repro) brakes from Improveparts half fitted tonight to see if I liked them. As a rule I donā€™t do repro but these are pretty sweet. I think Iā€™ll stick with them, just need to set them up and add a Grafton Finger to the rear brake šŸ–• IMG_5732.jpeg IMG_5733.jpeg IMG_5734.jpeg IMG_5736.jpeg

Brakes look great, wonder if they have fixed the cracking issue with the originals? Only part I'm not sure on id the cranks, I think the silver forged Syncros crankset would look better?

you know im not a fan of the wheels, but fair play, the black spec really compliments the build and the wheels...
