Judean people's front

Can't stand them.

But seriously, my sig is 2 lines, and I went to a smaller font once this thread came about. The big ones with pics really are a bit much. It reminds me of my Audi forum where guys have 1000x400 pics of their cars and have a quarter page list of every mod right down to their polished license plate bolts.

Just to add we are PMing everyone we see with a sig longer than that set out in the guidelines.

Good place to start would be the moderator group and the rider group leaders. Lead by example and others may follow.

If any of the admins have a problem with my signature I will change it, but not until I receive a PM from them.

Why the rolling eyes. Happy to tell someone that there sig isn't unto scratch but can't take it if someone does the same to you? Grow up.

To be honest does anyone other that the owner of the sig give a shite what bikes you used to own?

I genuinely find it quite useful in a conversation now and then... User is mentioning what they did with their bike, but hasn't linked to examples... Quick click on the sig and you can have a shufty.

Agreed on quotes though

Also used this as an excuse to test my minimised sig.

I don't like long sigs either, but I do find them useful. Oddly the links to their for sale or wanted can be useful as I can just click on them and it saves the poster time when they say, see my for sale post.

BUT it's a flaw in the board not having the ability to switch sigs off on a per user setting. It's now a common option.
Not sure if John can add it permanently to the 'skin' rbmobile or not.
This board software is old and simple.

Anyways, I find the number of stuck and announcement posts in each section far more annoying.

As I mentioned in the other topic, it looks perfectly fine on my monitor, 5 lines long, just because it's 7 lines long on your monitor isn't my fault.

It is not comparable to 30 lines of signature for the one I asked the poster to shorten.

Why the rolling eyes?... well it's rather petty to get so wound up about a few lines of text

As I said earlier if my sig is too long and a admin asks me to shorten it I will.

Gosh, who knew a simple signature could inflame so much passion.

I see no harm in signatures, they are very much part of internet forums. The shorter sigs as we are mandating look fine on mobiles and smaller screens. It's the lines and lines of text or massive pics which we don't want or need.

I would agree that some sigs do contain some unintelligible text. As long as it's less than 5 lines that's fine.

If you aren't happy with the default template use another. If you aren't happy with the forum software, tough.

the sigs are our character on here
a bit of personality or something about us in words in a virtual world
