1995 M2 Rigid.

As original and correct as it's going to be.

I have the original grips and grip-shifts, but am not fitting those for pics. The Umma Gumma tyres are not the correct models but look fine for pics, and finally the rear mech on this is an RD-M739 not the original RD-M737. Close enough overall I hope for this post.

I'll be riding it soon but with other less delicate wheels, tyres, pedals and saddle.

Stumpjumpers: 1995 M2 Rigid, 1995 Steel Rigid, 1996 Steel Rigid in a close to Catalogue Spec look.

I seem to be hogging the latest pages of this thread at present, apologies, wanted to share whilst the bikes had their proper parts fitted. I store my bikes in bits and use them with other pedals, saddles, wheels and tyres so they're not often all so presentable.

I'd like to show my recent finalized Crossroads here too.
It's a 1990 model and came with rather low entry level components.


Meanwhile i have upgraded most parts, used a Specialized Direct Drive Kurbel, also known as ST-4, and replaced all cables.
It's not for me personally, but someone who wants an comfortable in a way of riding rather upright, and easy bike, I'm using an riser, a wide lady saddle and got rid of the front mech. The rear cassette is 12-32, so at least offering a bit broader choice for 7 speed and old rear derailleurs. A bike stand was a must too, I've tried to use an unobtrusive one behind the bottom bracket.
Brakes are DiaCompe 985 with SS5 levers and new yellow koolstop, and work well.

I didn’t know they ever did a Magnesium rail version of the classic grey leather saddle ?

I saw a while back and recently on eBay again, a carbon underbody version. I think I spoke to the original guy who founds these hidden in a shop in South America. He thinks they might have been prototypes that never made production, hence no logo on the side !
