Just had this turn up this morning, picked it up for a lazy $40 nz

Has a 92 date stamp on it,
Mint Manitou 2s - or though the elastomers are toast
Original forks in the box - obviously taken off since new as they are mint
OEM replacement decal set!!
I'm guessing it's a 92 Al Mega DX

It's not an Alpinestar branded but made by the designer of the EOS frame : Bill Stevenson.
It's a mix between a T24 and the suspension prototyp

Here's the cromega d560 that was a warranty replacement for my almega DX a good few years ago!
Been in my dads shed for a long time and hasn't really gone anywhere.
The purple parts seem to have faded quite a lot...

If anyone lives near Stratford upon Avon there is a cro mega chained outside the RSC. It's looks all original and was in good condition for a bike that's left outside. It didn't move in the three days I was there so could be worth asking around or leaving a note on it.

I picked up the 92 Alpinestars Al-Mega earlier this week only to discover a crack in the head tube. I found it intriguing that the aluminum bike had the titaniumn model's decal set applied.

After researching the Alpinestars bike brand, which originated in my hometown of San Luis Obispo, California, I got hooked on Alpinestars and it's history.

When a frame of it's predecessor MS Racing's 1989 CR came available I jumped on it. It's the aluminum triangle/cro mo stays and fork model. I'm trying to decide whether to build it with XT II or Deore II parts. Any thoughts?
