Show us your..... Haro's!!

Re:

hi, calling all Haro fans. I picked this little beauty up today out of the local paper.
It is absolutely mint! but I had no clue as to what it was when I got it.

all I know was that it has a peculiar geometry and a rad 80'sness.

it is so clean and lovely, cosmetically the paint is A1! I could not leave it, despite having maybe one or two bikes too many.

Anyways... after googling some 80's manufactures that I could think of, who were known for some quirkiness, I came across the Haro Extreme? but most seem to have the elevated chain stays. so I was delighted to find the previous post which looks like mine.

As you can see there are unfortunately no decals on the entire bike apart, from a chromoly sticker.
the spec is a great mix of Exage, SLR and STI (see photos) I was just about to pat myself on the back when I discovered that Exage 300 didn't arLX rive until 1990? Please can some one tell me if my bike belongs on this thred and if so what model is it? if you guys don't know, no one will.

cheers all.

Re:

apologies for hijacking the topic but anybody want to add another Haro to their collection?

It's Haro vector v2, steel frame, 19 in with seized aluminium seatpost and seized BB.

Has suspension forks with the springs on the outside of the stanchions  - never seen anything like this before - I don't think it is a bodge as I seem to recall there is no simple way to take them apart in order to fit the springs.

Looking to cover postage + whatever you feel you want to pay.

I'm in the midst of resurrecting a very unloved '91 Extreme Comp which spent most of the last couple of decades hiding it's true colours under rattle can silver. Slowly slowly! I can't wait to get it done, looking forward to wheelies, mostly.

Good work.

How could that ever go unloved!

Had a hard life I think! Stolen, recovered, commutered... At least it will be back to period correct when I'm done, however I am not going to be gentle on it.

Just acquired this 1988 Haro Escape. Adding back Biopace chainrings and front Exage Trail derailleur and shifter.

Re:

Greetings dudes. I joined the forum just to share my really cool Haro with you. I have found literally zero information about this model on the internet. I'm curious if anyone can tell me the year or have a catalog snapshot. Here it is:
