my guess is 1995 and although pretty much the same frame and forks as apex , will have had lower groupset than apex or axis. The fork looks original which is a bonus - I presume it has the snake stays at the rear. a great frame to rescue as it will be double butted true temper avrHi gents,
Little help wanted on what position this bike takes on the line-up; a DiamondBack Mammoth. Up for sale for any reasonable price.
Seems to be a '95 model but I cannot find any reference in the brochures?

What was wrong with the neighbours bike? Here is my Diamondback ascent ex. I picked this up from Ebay during the week. It has the usual marks as you would expect from a used 90s bike and is no way a garage queen and it never will be. It rides great but I could do with a little more rise on the bars. I was offered one of these from a neighbour last week but after retrieving it resembled something from the bottom of the ocean.
The frame had two very large dents and had a lot of rust around the bb. It really wasn't worth saving unfortunately. What was wrong with the neighbours bike?
Ahhh that’s rubbish. If the parts where original you could swap over the updated stuff on yours? The frame had two very large dents and had a lot of rust around the bb. It really wasn't worth saving unfortunately.
