A GT question

I just recently sold a frame I've always known as a 1998 GT LTS Team Issue frame. (in '99 I traded my RTS-1 frame for it) It looks similar to the STS frame but the lugs are shiny as if ball burnished, see photo. Are they one and the same, or is there something that differentiates them.

i used to ride a '96 tequesta around london in Uni until it went missing after i moved back home...ahh my first GT

Somewhere i have the built up picture, but i have to scan it.

parts were from the older model. (94-95?) I remember when i was taking that picture that frame just came from a factory (waranty)
after i broke the first one.
