How do you all find the "multi position" segmented type flat bars, as on the cadex or thorn just above? Have wondered about trying a different, non-drop, bar on my DY

Bars, positions lots only problem bar's come back towards you so used a 150 stem, steering very quick now, cadex has a short TT 52x48 ST have decided that it's to small for me now up for sale

What models have the shorter top tubes? The problem I have is long legs and short torso. Most MTB drop bar conversions are too long in the top tube for me.
You and me both!
Marin Bear Valley (not SE) and downwards, pre-1995 are the ones to go for. The heavier tubing is no disadvantage: they are a bit stiffer and so less squirrelly when loaded up.

One of the big factors I have found on fit is to get a set of drops with a short forwards reach - it varies wildly, by at least 25-30mm. Modern shallow drop gravel bars are really suitable.

Really nice setup! Did they run you out of the Thorn owners club for not having at least 10 cm of stem spacers?
