I still lively recall the first DEAN I saw one here: one with a Tioga Disc Drive from fellow member Disco Drive..

As I regularly take out and enjoy mine from 1994 and I know several other nice ones reside on this forum, I'm hereby initiating a 'Show us your..' thread dedicated to the lovely titanium DEAN bikes coming out Boulder, CO.

So eternalize your beautiful retro titanium (or aluminum, for all I care, or borate) by flashing a couple of pictures below 8): take it away..!

Fantastic idea!

As you know, double E-F, your first DEAN was my second. I still regret selling it but it's a comforting thought it's in the good hands of a fellow retro bike afficionado.

My very first DEAN was an aluminum one. It had this fantastic "eggplant black" colour but the frame was -honoustly speaking- of inferior quality. It broke on a very simple descent on every possible place next to the welds. I stood up (thanks God in one piece) with a set of loose tubes, kept together only by the gear and brake cables. It was horrific.

But the bike was lovely to ride, that's true.

This old photo is all I've got.
