Great idea for a thread

My history I'm a returnee...

First there were BMXs!!!

Redline/Mongoose/DB/Raleigh/Ammaco/Haro/Skyway/Peugeot and of course: Curtis so many and in rapid succession

MTB:

I totally ditched BMXing in favour of MTBing you could actually use these things as practical transport!

Then nowt most of the previous bikes got sold along the way, I gave the Univega to my brother and did no cycling at all - Cars and bikes with engines

Quick flirtation:

1997 Cannondale Super V 1000 Freeride

Rode the hell out of it for a couple of weeks

Then nowt

Then last year I decided to get cycling again, looked at new bikes on the 'ride to work scheme' I saw a lot of overpriced crap that didn't do it for me

So, in the last 12 months I reclaimed my Univega and Super V and the rest of the stuff has been accumulated

First bike was a Performance Aspen and rode that until it disintegrated.

Took a 20 year hiatus from biking then...

Saw a '93 Klein Fervor w/ Mission Control Stem (Nebula Green, fantastic paint job when you see it up close). Drove 8 hours to Vegas to pick it up.

I was then bitten by the steel bug:

Marin Eldridge Grade 87-88 (white black splatter, amazing condition)

Kona Lavadome '93 (saw it in a CL ad, and fell in love with it) building it up with full XT.

Mongoose Tomac Signature 87-88. My dream bike, they were sold out back then once I put all of my pennies together, used the money for college instead. Found one used 2 weeks ago. Never been happier.
