Show us yer FSR's

Wow, what a revelation - it seems that I have an 1997-ish FSR Comp!

I've always thought it was just a crap frame re-badged as Specialized   but I've finally looked it up on the Web this evening.

Don't really like the frame (or *my* frame) itself, but complete bikes with frames in nice colour schemes and stickers definitely do look cool.

However, I still can't see myself building it up, so it will find its way to the For Sale section soon!

Build it and ride it before you decide to sell it on, you may be very surprised. ;)

Difficult to be exact without knowing it's original colour.
But I'm pretty sure that the model (Comp, Elite, Extreme, etc) just denoted the quality of the parts attached, I've had a few of these pass through my hands of all different models and have noticed no major differences in them.

'97-'98 Specialized Ground Control FSR is what you have though.

Well, from what I've seen during my research, some models are different to others in terms of frame construction.

My Comp is more "boxy" than the usual FSR's with more rounder lower tubes, if you know what I mean.

'97s were all round tubed, max backbone square tubes came in '98.

'98 line up was:

FSR (Blue Round tube)
FSR Comp (Orange Round tube)
FSR Extreme (Green Round tube)
FSR Elite (Red Square tube)
FSR Pro (Black Square tube)

Round tubes were all the same frame, the difference came with colour and what spec kit, same with the 2 square tubed.
