looks like you need to clean up your A-links mate! your nylon washer looks like its been chewed up :p

check out my FSR bearing upgrade thread - struggling with progress at the moment, but its well worth looking into getting your frame upgraded to use nedle roller bearings :)

Re:

Oh have rebushed it, I will be doing when I have time

Started getting ready today for a Wales trip, my hope front master cyclinder no longer works (managed to blag, a spare) so will be sent to hope to service, and my shock also no longer will hold air, dam it

Re:

Managed to get out with the local MTB club yesterday, not been out with them for 1 year and 3 months

And it showed on the climbs as i was consistently at the back   :D

Anyway i still had a decent enough pace on the way back down, one of the lads snapped this photo, i almost look like i know what i am doing.

The freehub gave up around 30 mins from the end of the ride, we were at the "top end" of the woods so i could freewheel most of the way back down to the car, the bottom bracket also was creaking with a bit of play, which is weird as when i removed it, it spins smooth with no play at all :?

Ordered new parts anyway, going to the lake district next weekend and im planning on doing a bit more with the missus.

Are you sure it's the bottom bracket?
I had a god awful squeak/creek that I thought was coming from the BB area, turns out I just needed to tighten the seatpost QR a tiny bit more.

Same with my mates FSR

The bb was a cheap shimano version with the plastic outer cup (un26?) It was around 3quid in a chain reaction sale and was a little sketchy from the very beginning, its been in for over a year, ordered a un56 instead, metal cups!
