A few upgrades to mine this year, all done and rolling again. Very happy.
i'll think about a frame and form respray in the spring, but we'll see.
That's a nice looking ride!! How do you like the linkage?

My BETD linkage is great. Should be for the price though. But my original was shot to bits. That and the air shock is a huge improvement. Only thing is the Manitou shock loses air all the time. But a few seconds to top it up is not the end of the world. All round, very happy.

This is my partners FSR, the frames almost the newest part.
Has full M950, has specialized cranks but have the M950 cranks to go on it. Found a set of no's gen 1 bombers for next to nothing, Thomson stem and post, Prologo ti seat, Easton bars, ODI grips.

I want to replace the bearings in the rear. Can anyone point me to the sizes I need?

My FSR, I believe its a 99, It has Fox Vanilla fork, Float shock, Psylo Cranks, Avid brakes, Easton XC wheelset, Sram X-9 10spd drivetrain, Schwalbe tires, Carbon bars, 28.5 lbs.

Yum, Yum, Yum.....
wanted one of these ever since my mate thrashed me on one down the black run at Argentiere in the summer of 98..
Secured a frame last year and now building her up with some newer pocket-money kit.
I'm calling her J. Lumley after the other old but racy bit of kit that I lust over!

However, I digress..
With reference to sorting shock/link/travel.....
Standard shock with BETD link but stronger spring.
A slightly longer (only about 3-6mm) i2i shock could well work with newer longer geometry forks,
although again - BETD link stronger spring!!.... I asked Tim Flooks at TF Tuning!

I was lucky enough to find a superlative Mountainspeed 6" link and have just sourced not one but TWO Vanilla RX 7" shocks to bounce it..... spring approx 650lbs needed and on its way as we speak...
wish me luck.
A Retro tour of the Alps seems on the cards later this year.

Your Pro is looking killer man!! I'm glad to see others still messing with these bikes!
And thanks for the thoughts on shocks/links. Our builds are not that far apart at
this point although it looks like you may have yours a little closer to done than mine.

I'll be starting a build thread on mine (1998 elite) within the next couple of weeks and some
pics on this thread, just got my wheelset and tires the other day and disc brakes and other
bits on the way.
I'd really be interested in seeing more pics and info on your build as it progresses also,
it's looking really nice!!

my build- pretty happy with it only thing I will update is the rear shock and might put a fox hydraulic seatpost in. Also have to organise some decals or paint- want to have it in the 2013 colors-

That's sweet! Love the all black (murdered out) look.

Is that a new RockShox Secktor fork?, looks just like the one I have.
edit:Nevermind seen it is a Sektor fork in you file comment.

Do you like the BETD link better than the stock one?

Anyway nice ride man!!

Not sure if it is better than old link as the shock I have on there is the WORST. I need to get one ASAP thinking of getting the x-fusion 02 or a rockshox monarch. I'm open to suggestions!

love the rockshox. I have a canyon strive 9.0 with 34 fox talas 160mm and it feels just as plush, it just has more flex in cornering but thats ok not doing as hardcore stuff on it.
