Show us Ya Citrus Fruit! (Orange Content)

Well it is a CX bike rather than a road bike. I edited my post to reflect that, but I think you beat me to it.

I'm not sure if anyone is still following this thread but I've owned a Orange Dynamo since '93, ridden it 20k+ miles, really love the bike and decided to reboot it this year, I'm interested in the history of Orange's road bikes and can't find much on line. Anyway hope someone is still following and can give me some info. Thank you.
Mike.

Reckon the Dynamo has blitzed the entire crop of fruit content on here. Gotta see it again.

Yes the dynamo bike of yours is really cool, if I can build my dynamo anywhere near as good as yours I will be very pleased!! Your quite right, not a lot of info on these bikes, I know few were built, a couple of hundred at most I believe, and few probably remain today given that a majority of them were aluminium. I also know that they were used in the British domestic scene in the early to mid nineties by some pretty decent pros. I love my dynamo and would say its definitely a keeper.. Anyway fantastic build!! :D

Thank you so much for that :D it's much appreciated that people comment my bike so kindly, I bought it from new (well, off a member of the Orange MTB team in '93 (for £650) and it was essentially brand new when I did) and it's been my favourite bike ever since, I've ridden it 20 thousand miles at least.

I'm glad people like the built, it was a labour of love and taught me an awful lot about bikes and bike bits. I've retired the Dynamo for the winter and intend on hanging it on my living room wall (true story) until April

Re:

Yes those dynamo's are beautiful rare bikes, am going to get my dynamo built hopefully before the years out, similar to you in regards of updating it abit. And retiring it until the spring also!! Its probably my favourite bike at the moment, partly because you see very few!! Anyway thanks for the inspiration yours has given me!! :D

It is beautiful. And amazing how much modernising some of the bits makes it look like a modern machine.
