last night was a small turn-out for the ride.
none the less it was good to be on the trail to the brewery.
a thorn in CB's tire took some time away from pedaling.

I really need to get out on my bikes, great to see all the pics of your trips. I’m really busy just now and can’t seem to get the time for a ride . I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a good September, I’d like a few days on the bikes before the winter sets in.
Sundaymorningitis turned the group ride into just Keith and myself but after a slow start it turned out great. No lasting effects from recent covid and was riding better than I expected. Trails running amazing as well despite Friday nights heavy rain.
Well as you have all probably seen it was a fantastic World Championship race, great venue, the weather stayed dryish and both mens and womens races were full of action.
Great watching all the action unfold from different points around the track. I was of course routing for Rebecca McConnel/Henderson, my home nation favourite for the last couple of years now and I was routing for Nino to make it one more, but in the absence of Nino or Peter Sagan winning then Pidcock was all good
I was standing watching the womens race from the back side of the course when I heard a familiar voice behind me, I turned round and it was none other than the man himself Bart Brentjens. He was there watching his riders and I was speaking to him about the course and what he thought. Then I couldn't help myself and asked if it would be OK to get a selfie? Have never asked that of anyone one in my life, but meeting someone you have admired for a very long time, I just had to. He was very fine with it.
No one spoke up for the tickets I offered in the Macretro chat and rides, so they just went to waste in the end. Pretty last minute I suppose.
Anyway a great Saturday was had and then after staying Saturday night in Glasgow with family, it was off to the BMX quarter, semi and finals on Sunday. Another fantastic day out and again, great racing, great atmosphere and some very exciting racing.
So all up a very cool family weekend away.
Looks like you'd a great time. I'd have bitten your hand off for one of the tickets but I finally came down with covid for the first time. I'd a ticket for the juniors and elite short track on the Thursday but had to make do with watching it on the tele.
Free day once I’d dropped Jnr at nursery, so I thought I’d make the most of the good weather and head to Scolty near Banchory. Driven past it loads of times but never ridden there. Trails were a bit on the edge of my comfort zone and hard to ride blind but good fun. Need to get another trip in soon.
