I've only just found this thread, and it deserves a bump.

Carl, I'm not a huge fan of late 80's to early 90's bikes, but that Overburys is something else.

How do you guys find these rare machines?

Carl, I'm not a huge fan of late 80's to early 90's bikes, but that Overburys is something else.

How do you guys find these rare machines?

Well to be honest, when i got it, it was a bit of a shed to be fair,
buckled wheels, scabby paint, bearing races in need of replacement,
shot tyres, and just....well a 20 year old tired bike.

Certainly not the way to ride a new bike for the first time....,
and a quick whip round the block, confirmed my suspicions, it was a bag of old bolts, that needed work.

And work....it has had. Im nearly there with it now, and it will get a decent ride in due course..........

It's the finding of these machines in the first place that has me puzzled. Good luck, serendipity, hard detective work, whichever it is, I must develop the skill, as there are one or two bikes I would (in time) like to fit in my garage.

Great thread though.
