Should you use granny to run you a nice warm bath?

The really enviromentally friendly way to deal with the dead would be to bury them, with a spade, in a paper bag and plant a tree on top. That's how I intend to be dealt with. ( I must write that down at some point )
I guess available land is another factor.

Then you don't even have the cost of the fuel. Burning a corpse to cinders must use a fair amount of fuel.
But if you were going to have to burn that fuel already, though (or much of it)?

i think its fine personally
just some people dont like interfereing with the dead out of respect
and i bet its ingrained in us from the days when the dead were feared to come back etc. in religions and the like

Dead simple really..scuse the pun  I just don't like the idea of nearest and dearest being used to produce some bio fuel for a Fecking Local Council !!

I'm glad both my parents were treated with the respect they deserved...God Bless 'en both :D

Wouldn't bother me if the burning of my body was used for this. I'd be dead so probably beyond caring :D

Thats cool..all of you who don't mind being recycled just drop dead in front of my door..got a fire here and winters are cold..could save on my heating bills

The bodies are not interfered with or treated in any other way at the crem... the process would be no different, the burning goes ahead as it has done for however many years crematoriums have been around..

I reckon they should extend it to include hospital incinerators too..

And slaughterhouses.

If it wouldn't smell so much, get domestic wood-burners in on the act too... it'd save burying pets in the garden on their demise.

Sooner or later, we all get recycled.

Star dust mate...

My daughter asked me if I wanted to be buried or cremated when I die.

I told her to surprise me.
