Short frames

Really want a new mtb/project and struggling to make a decision on what to buy. Main issue is fit. I've got long legs/arms and a short torso so usually happiest on shorter (top tube) frames (and often uncomfortable on "normal" bikes). 5' 11" with 34" inseam. Any suggestions?

Steel/TI only please. Ideally early/mid 90s but would like the look of e.g. on one inbreds, charge duster etc...

I'd rule out a DBR Axis TT as I believe they have a fairly long top tube. What frame size do you normally go for? If you are happy to run a smaller frame with a bit of seat post, you should get a shorter top tube.

You could try a shorter stem on a 'normal' frame. I'm no geometry guru but that's why various stem lengths exist right?

Re:

how about a nice steel ibis mojo. it even comes with a hand job!

Currently riding a 19" 98 rockhopper with lots of seatpost, a long steerer, and a short stem. It's not ideal (and looks ridiculous) but it works as a commuter/tourer.

Have you ridden GTs? Generally they have shorter top tubes and there's plenty of nice steel (and Ti) choices from that era.

Cool. Will keep an eye out. That's the sort of info I'm after - thanks!
