REKIBorter Retrobike Rider Gold Trader 98+ BoTM Winner Feedback View Nov 28, 2010 #3 MBR magazine had a reader tip recently that showed using an M4 nut and stud. Cut the head off the stud and screw into the shoe using the bolt as a stop. I suppose you could sharpen the stud to a point if needed.
