Shimano FD-M735 confusion

Today I was searching for all M735 on internet I could find and thought I had figured it out.
28.6 doesn't and 31,8 and 34.9 do have them.
Do later I found 28.6 derailleurs with them. Theory broken :D
I will search for some cataloges to read.

Maybe they just badged the M732's for the new group and changed it and thougth: Well we changed the number, not the derailleur, maybe if we change it now, we don't have to change the number again :)

Perfect theory, maybe that's why they also altered the black slightly so we wouldn't notice so much

Next people will be saying Deore DX is just Deore-II re-badged and restamped ;)

The M732 and 735 rear derailleurs also had a bit colour change. The 735 looks more blue-ish.

so If people know the difference in the M737 and M739

Please let me know :D
The colour is the same so that is not the problem.

The cage is different on the M737 / M739 rear derailleurs. I'll have to take pictures tomorrow

737/739

Jokey wheels changed, I think 739 got the sealed bearings of M900 and M950, the rest internal ? the coating on the pins ?

The pins indeed are changed, I found that, but it's as far as I found out, impossible to see the difference comparing them.

But.. I think we found the M735 dilemma

and that just spoils the small geeky fun here ;)
do you still have the running changes for this period ?

Hell no - only data I ever saw for this period was in yellowed paper archives.... with handwritten amendments etc...

My working period was a lot later, with everything being accessible electronically.

Didn't keep any of it as it wasn't mine to keep.
