shimano disc brakes question/problem

I just tried my brakes on my full sus, it was cold and I heard a slight click and the levers both front and rear just feel really firm. They aren't locked but there is hardly any feel in the lever. They aren't that old and haven't been used too much. Anyone else experienced this? This is the second time its happened

Frozen fluid?? Or the pistons frozen? Soonds like it's to do with the temperature.

Both sets of my M970 XTR discs do this in the cold I think its the mineral oil being affected by the cold,it shouldn't actually freeze until -30 or so though!

Brought the bike in out of the cold, and after 30 mins it went back to normal Have to put a blanket over it tonight

I am glad someone else has experienced this, thought I was going mad.

I was pretty gutted cos I bought a set for the winter bike before I knew they did this
