Wanted Shimano Deore XT M730/732 hubs 32 holes 100/135mm

However, the 130 bodies are very useful for building 732 8 speed+ conversions, as the 5mm smaller body allows for a 5mm longer freehub to go on without loosing the spacing on the non drive side and creating a really weak dish issue.

Here we go both m732.... Top 135mm body....bottom 130mm body.

The bottom has been converted to 135mm with a longer axle and 5mm more spacers on the non drive side.

They were designed this way so that all the internals including spacers are identical...the only different parts are the 5mm longer spindle and the 5mm longer qr.

Sadly they are both 36h...so no good to the op!

IMG_5223.jpeg IMG_5224.jpeg IMG_5225.jpeg Got a pair here, would need to split the front from the RM-17 rim. 135mm rear, both 32h. Also have replacement o-rings I can swap out for the QRs

Hmm, back into the shed! I measured between the inner surfaces of the flanges this morning, and have just been out again. A 'NIP' M732 "130mm" hub is pretty much 53mm between surfaces, a M737 off the Merlin "135" is the same. If their body lengths are different I do stand corrected!
I think I would happily turn a 130 into a 135 though! I've turned a 130 into 132 for said Merlin

Yes. A 8 speed hub body is roughly the same as a 130 7 speed body in lenth on xt. So yes a m737 would be the same body size as a 130 m732.....as they needed to find an extra 5mm for the longer 8 speed freehub body on an m737 onwards.

Converting 130 to 135 is not a problem as you actually reduce the percentage difference in spoke tension....but at the cost of a fraction more unsupported spindle.

They both spin nicely. They are not NOS, maybe very good condition? Dunno it’s an opinion difficult to quantify when they aren’t brand new! I’ve taken the front out of the wheel and given them both a quick clean. They’d come up nicer with a bit of effort polishing. The rear has a replacement decal, the front while it’s not disappeared would benefit from one too. I’ve replaced the o rings on the qr ends as they had perished.
Some photos from just now below
