Shimano 600 calipers

Hi

Im trying to install this shimano 600 brake calipers and im really struggling setting the wire in its place. it alwais get loose from the caliper. Should it be like in the picture? in some other way?

I have two sets of Shimano 600 (Arabesque and the latter mid 80's version) and I believe they both have a hole in the center of the bolt that the brake cable should slide into before tightening. Take a closer look at the bolt and move it around a bit to see if the hole moves into view.

Spin the rear washer round until the two tabs lock either side of the caliper... I think, been a long time lol

Hey, those modern cartridge brake pads look pretty sweet there. I may have to try some of those on my retro roadies. Then I can run salmon koolstop pads.
