exactly. Some friend of mine has a bikeshop, selling mostly wilier-ktm-orbea-focus bikes. He visits italian retailers 2-3 times per week, and gets deals like.. NIB Dura Ace seatposts (7400) for 1 euros each, then sells them for 10 bucks home.

I recall few weeks ago he phoned me that he has 28pcs of DA7700 and 7701 cranks with some old 105s, what should he ask for them. I've told him that they usually sell around 50 euros second hand, so he listed the cranks for 40 euros, NOS-NIB, original package-wrapping included.

He sold all of the cranks in 3 days..

Told me that some italian retailers throw those at him for virtually nothing as they have been gathering dust in the last decade.

Anyway, I love the 1050 series, esp. that swappingthe FH body takes only a few minutes and even give you the chance to run 10 spd as well..

sorry kbmb where is this country...i must be blonde.. does this mean by the santa pic you want to be father
christmas and we can pm you for our xmas presents ? :xmas-big-grin:

basically it's just hungary.. campag-old vintage goodies and food is cheap, shimano costs 2times as much as in germany.

and soon we won't have native doctors nor engineers.

Re:

Hmmm!!!
So I could change the FH body and replace with 9-10 speed shimano hub?
Can you guide me through changing it please.
Might as well do that and keep them!!

Re:

yeah there sure are goodies there. cheer's. there are 2 or three dealer's there responsible it would seem for bumping up prices generally on e-bay and even i reckon on post . its hard to find a bench
mark for prices ie these forums, cycle jumbles i always thought these two are close on prices but then
this happens.then again you could buy a bike for say £250 sell the other bits and get the wheels for nothing here if you wanted.

Need a 10mm allen key and a FH body or a FH body donor hub (like 1056, 6402, or even 6500.. one of my friend uses an old FH6208 with 10 speed cassette body!)

Basically you can run the rear hub 9-10 speed :) :) just swap the FH body! (sometimes you'll need a longer axle too)
