I’m after a good set of light wheels for my 2005 trek 8500 she’s coming out the woodwork for a event in April and the current rear wheel is shot.

Mavic 719 on Hope Pro2 Evo? Rims have braking surface, hubs are disc. Wicked freehub sound: gets pedestrians scarpering. £100 + post.

Got a lovely set of black large flange American Classic disc hubs on Mavic x717 SSC available. They came off my Trek 8500 so a good fit! As pointed out a bit late for this side of the forum so maybe a mod could move to the 1998 side?

I have a really nice unused set of crankbrothers cobolt2 wheels you would need adapter to run them as quick release tho

What discipline were these rims for ? I’m current building up a cad 2 as a trials bike need a solid set of wheels I’d be interested possibly.
