Serotta T-Max Build

you can use modern shifters and mechs , shifters are hard to notice and the new mech look good anyway .

a nice pimp chainset , and for the brakes depend if you are going for cantis or V ?

Was thinking to go for a Cooks RSR in Black to match the stealth black frame, and Pauls Motolites for the braking duties !! mmmm :?

Just a heads up...if you want to put Vbrakes on there.

Tmax came without a cable stop on the rear of top tube. You could make something like this but the tubing is ovalized. You'll have to dremel out some of the clamp:

Or just use existing little tack welded noodle on intergrated seatpost bolt clamp...much cleaner I hated the look of that clamp.

I would go with the new XTR if money was no object.

I've been looking to put some old Marinovators on my TMAX. Can't find them anywhere!

Confused by this : Or just use existing little tack welded noodle on intergrated seatpost bolt clamp...much cleaner I hated the look of that clamp...

Any chance of a closeup of this arrangment please..

BTW..

Thats one cool   machine you have there... liking it a lot.. .

The little piece is brazed on to guide a cable, not to withstand the forces put on it by outer cable pressure. I do strongly not recommend this setup.

Simple solution is running 1 outer cable from front to rear. Also less hassle with dirt and moisture. Or go with cantis of course.
