Seatpost size for 1995? Stumpjumper?

My 95 Stumpy FSR is 29.2, i've found that's not a common size, could the seat tube have been machined out to fit a more common 30mm ?

Pretty sure the FSR is 29.4 rather than 29.2 but happy to be corrected

Seatpost i got with mine is a 29.2 Kalloy, since you mentioned that i checked it carefully and it does seem a bit loose so look's like you are right

But look's like i'll be needing a new post :roll:

I think your frame is the same of mine because of the eyelets on the dropouts and the "tunnel" cable guide in the top/seat tube junction...

I've just had a look on ebay, 30.4 seems very uncommon. Would a shim be a reasonable option?

Shimming is fine......and a cheap option

definately a 95

Thats definately a 95
All from 93 through to 95 steel Stumpies had the canti noodle and eyelets.
Colour for this is 95 and the downtube is slightly bigger, cant remember exactly but its about 1.4mm bigger diameter than the 93, 94 models.

Mine's a '96 (poss '97) Stumpy in steel and it takes a 30.8mm post.
