SCOTT USA Elite racing...what year & any good?

what year (suspect 2001)

and what tier within the scott range would this bike have been?

(I'm looking for a retro mtb racer - ideally, a high spec pro bike)

this is from 2002, indeed a bit better speced XC Hardtail, already with disc brakes, but in general rather mid of Scotts portfolio, as high end bikes had full sus or carbon frames at this time already.
Also the used components like mech. disc had been selected rather for cost reasons.

if good, depends to me quite heavily on the condition, especially of the disc brakes, Judy and the gearset.
